Boat is for sale locally and by other means. If it sells this listing will be removed as soon as possible. New Marine Survey just completed and ready to be emailed to anybody that is interested. Please advise if you would like a copy emailed to you. "Preamble" of the survey.........The vessel was constructed by converting a Chris Craft Roamer which has a steel hull and the deck and above deck has been changed to offer a helm and small passenger salon and with the starboard companion to the large area below decks. The deck is now re-shaped and approximate 10ga checker plate steel is the new cover. The helm is also steel plate with internal ribs and mouldings to support, and necessary parts for the new structure. The aft section appears to be original in shape containing the aft entry hatch to the engine bilge and aft bilge storage. With this fitting coming through the checker plate deck. "Basic Construction Notes" of the survey.......The Wayne V. (non registered name) is a carvel flush welded steel design in which frame of ribs are set out, attached to a steel bar keel and the rib structure is welded, then steel sheet is welded to it. Often the drive train is inserted mid way through this process and the vessel enclosed around it. This provides a strong economical constructed vessel that has proven this construction and design for many years. The hull is 10ga plate and the upper house appears to be the same guage steel. The original hull sheeting of the Chris Craft Roamer are used and the internal framing and sheet has the corrosion resistant paint adhered to it. This covering may be the original Chris craft application. The vessel has been repowered with two Detroit 453 diesels with Warner Velvet drives. The drive transmissions could have been the original "Roamer" transmissions as they were a common choice of Chris Craft. The 150 horsepower of these engines is lower then the original source but the diesel power is more efficient and economical then the large gasoline engines usually found. This also produces a lower boat speed and better nameuvering. Power being transmitted through the Warner drives turns the shafts, through the stuffing boxes, struts and propellers. A complete double safety wire and metal tube system encompasses the main deck about its perifery for safety and at the stern there is a split metal swim platform and step up to the main deck from this lower platform. Gaining access to the swim platform from the water is carried out by a portable ladder that will probably change in design as the fitting of the vessel is upgraded. The small salon and helm is a single unit with a starboard companionway leading leading to the lower two-bunk v-berth at the stem with the additional sleepers provided by converting the dinette and across to starboard for the two bunks there. The galley, dinette and marine head and vanity are along the port side with a shower and the two bunk berths starboard side aft of the main companionway. A sturdy watertight safety hatch at the main bulkhead companionway separates the V and salon from the main engineroom, bilge, and drive systems.
